Our Story

Standard Rec is Patchogue's go-to destination for smash burgers, craft cocktails, arcade games, music bingo, brunch, and late-night vibes. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks with friends, or a night out, we've got the food, drinks, and nostalgic vibes to keep the good times rolling.

How Standard Rec Was Born

In 2021, Frank Bragaglia and Brad Wilson took over the old Public House 49 and built something entirely new. Turquoise walls, mustard booths, vintage posters — and a neighborhood that finally got the spot it deserved.

A Scratch Kitchen, For Real

Everything here is made from scratch — including the mozzarella. Birria ramen, crispy bao buns, smash burgers on a beef-and-pork-belly blend, Dunkaroo Churros. Global flavors, neighborhood prices, zero pretension.

The Bar Does the Work

The espresso martini is kegged on draft — no waiting. Baja Blast Margaritas, inventive seasonal cocktails, and a bar team that takes the drinks seriously even when (especially when) the names are ridiculous.

The Rec in Standard Rec

A pink Joola ping pong table, a Pac-Man cabinet, shuffleboard, board games — it turns dinner into a full evening without anyone having to try very hard.
